Blythe Corbett, Ph.D. is a clinical scientist that works with and studies children with autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders at University of California, Davis, Department of Psychiatry and the M.I.N.D. Institute.  Her research arises from the Social Emotional NeuroScience Endocrinology (SENSE) lab where she focuses on social behavior, emotion perception and stress.  Blythe is a former professional actor and writer with a long standing love for the theatre and the transforming magic that it holds.  The SENSE Theatre program is allowing her to bridge her two worlds – art and science – to provide a unique therapeutic environment for children to learn how to think, feel and express in new and meaningful ways.  She lives in Davis, California with her son Sterling (age 13) and husband, Ed Bazel, CEO of The Bazel Group, Inc. - providers of concerts, comedians and speakers for corporate events. 

Kristen Byrne is an IT Process Manager for a global specialty retailer and has been working in the field for over 15 years.  Kristen began volunteering her free time to autism awareness, advocacy and fundraising in the Sacramento community after her twin boys were diagnosed with autism. She's the founding Walk Co-Chair of Sacramento's Walk Now for Autism Speaks raising funds for autism research, community & family grants since 2007.  She also serves on the Senate Select committee, Sacramento Autism Regional Taskforce under Senator Steinberg.  Kristen feels fortunate that Dr. Corbett has persevered in making this dream, SENSE Theatre, a reality for the autism community.  She is honored to be a part of the SENSE Theatre team which has provided a unique & valuable service to the community and looks forward to working on many successful children's productions.  Kristen is mother to 3 beautiful children; her daughter Megan and twin sons Devan & Ethan.  Kristen and her family reside in Rocklin, CA
